AlgoaBay - GeoNode

The Algoa Bay Project is a collaborative project between universities (Rhodes, NMU, Fort Hare) and research institutions (SAEON, Council for Geoscience, SAIAB and others) with the ultimate goal of developing a marine spatial plan for Algoa Bay. One of the requirements is a spatial data repository which was chosen to be GeoNode.

They were having issues with how some of the layers displayed on their GeoNode, so they contracted Kartoza to help fix the issues.

Kartoza still provides:

• Health checks on the following components: operating system, filesystem, database, application

• Operating system, database and application patching

• Capacity management

• Access and security reviews

• Updates when needed
